WHY JAZZ?

My love for Jazz came at an early age.

My most memorable performance was a jazz concert accompanied by the famous pianist Tommy James, who performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra.

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to sing alongside some of the finest musicians in Portland, such as Tom Grant and Ron Steen.

My journey and experience

EARLY YEARS

I would spend evenings with my father as a child listening to all the greats; Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Jo Stafford, Anita O’Day, Julie London, and Sarah Vaughan, to name just a few.

CAREER CHOICE

Several years ago, a good friend suggested I join a college performance Jazz class, and I was hooked, which opened the door for me to sing at Jazz clubs around Portland.

EXPERIENCE

I have a BFA in Theater and love performing in musicals. To date, I have been the featured singer at several clubs. Wilf’s Jazz Club and Clyde’s reside at the top of my list.
